PCV/HGV Mechanic | Glasgow | Full Time - Monday to Thursday: 7:30am - 4:30pm and Friday: 7:30am - 2:00pm

Our client is a proud family-run business with over 50 years of excellence in vehicle repair. They are looking for a skilled and dedicated PCV/HGV Mechanic to join their excellent team.

Are you the right person for the job?

  • At least 6 years as an Automotive Technician, with strong knowledge of bus, coach, and commercial vehicle mechanics
  • NVQ Level 3 or Modern Apprenticeship in vehicle mechanics
  • A full UK driving licence is essential; Category D is preferred
  • Excellent problem-solving, manual skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Good communication and time management are key

What will your role look like?

  • Servicing and repairing a range of buses and coaches to VOSA standards
  • Diagnosing and rectifying mechanical faults, with an advantage if you can diagnose and repair electrical systems
  • Preparing vehicles for annual tests and carrying out routine maintenance
  • Ensuring vehicles are handled with care and adhering to health & safety regulations
  • Collaborating with the parts department and ensuring all job cards and service sheets are completed on time
