Due to a drive for greater success, this advanced manufacturing business is currently searching for an Principal Outfit Engineer to add to their talented, hardworking team in Scotstoun on an initial 6 month contract. Striving for innovation and creativity you can ensure no two days will be the same. This role will be offering 45.05 Umbrella per hour


The role:


* Lead all activities required to meet the Zonal Review programme and Compartment Plan Approval process, including Compartment design and integration activities in line with all relevant processes and quality requirements.
* Line management of members of the engineering team
* Manage product safety hazards within area of responsibility to ensure equipment and system comply with whole ship safety requirements


You:


* Good experience in engineering or a defence related industry.
* Possesses good knowledge of all aspects within current discipline
* Able to perform analysis using recognised analytical tools and to make sound judgements
* Has sufficient capability to be able to make correct trade-off decisions
* Good Experience in a Ship Design environment.
