Our Client is a well-established and fast-growing Water Treatment company, who are seeking a Water Treatment Service Engineer / Chemist, to cover new contracts in Scotland. Ideally, you will be based in the Central Belt of Scotland and will hold an excellent track record within a well-established outfit, and a robust level of industry knowledge. The company has a nationwide presence and is well-known for routinely training and upskilling their staff as well as offering great progression opportunities. Salaries and packages are excellent and include benefits such as overtime opportunities and pension.
Ideally, you will be based in: Glasgow, Livingston, Edinburgh, Penicuik, Queensferry, Bathgate, Lilithgow, Falkirk, Cumbernauld, Airdrie, Shotts, Bellshill, Motherwell, Stirling, Dunblane, Dunfermline, Rosyth, Kirkcaldy, Bellshill, East Kilbride, Paisley, Johnstone, Renfew, Dumbarton, Brith, Kilmarnock, Larkhall.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Will have worked as a Service Chemist / Engineer for a Water Treatment company
- You will have experience undertaking sampling, analysis and dosing on Closed Systems, Cooling Towers and Steam Boilers
- It would be beneficial to hold a degree relating to Chemistry / Science, but this is not essential
- Well-versed in technical guidelines, including HSG 274 & ACOP L8
- Excellent written & IT proficiency
- Strong client-facing skills and professional manner
The Role:
- You will be conducting Sampling & Analysis of process systems (Cooling Towers, Closed Systems and Steam boilers) across a mixed portfolio of Client sites
- Correctly dosing systems in accordance with industry standards
- Maintaining highly effective and professional working relationships with Clients
- Growing Client accounts through upselling of further company services
- Ensuring to keep updated with industry changes
- Providing technical advice to Clients and answering any queries
- Writing bespoke service reports for Clients
- Training new members of staff
- Travelling to Client sites as per company requirements
