Job description

First Achieve's Engineering Division have an excellent opportunity for a MIG-MAG Welder to join an established and growing company in the Glasgow region. Our client is an esteemed manufacturer, dedicated to heavy industrial products worldwide.

What's on Offer:

  • Straight to permanent position
  • A 19/hr rate
  • 37hr work week plus occasional OT
  • 5 days per week, Monday to Friday

This role will report directly to the Head of Operations and you will be expected to work as part of a collaborative team in producing high quality work.

Essential skills, experience and knowledge:

The successful candidate must have:

  • A time served, recognised engineering appenticeship
  • The ability to read and interpret drawings
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in a workshop environment
  • Demonstrable MIG/MAG welding experience - previously coded to AWS, ASME IX, ISO, DNV or similar.
  • The ability to work under own initiative.

Desirable but not essential experience:

  • Hydraulic experience
  • Working within a factory environment
  • Forklift licence
  • Fitting, Conventional turner, Machining Centre and Milling experience
