We are looking to recruit an apprentice trained, time servedWelder / Fabricatoron a Temp - permanent basis.

Location:Glasgow, Govan

Working hours : Monday - Thursday 8:00am - 4:45pm (Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm)

Rate of pay- Up to £19 per hour + Overtime (CIS / Umbrella)


Themain duties include :

  • Oversee the selection and procurement of materials and equipment required for TIG welding.
  • Read and interpret drawings.
  • Measure and align workpieces using straightedges, clamps, and callipers.
  • Perform TIG/MIG welding on materials such as aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel.
  • Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements.
  • Carry out grinding and thermal cutting operations to obtain various textures and sizes for metal parts.
  • Oversee the set-up of TIG welding equipment.
  • Operate power and hand tools such as grinders, orbital sander, hand drills etc.
  • Maintain good working knowledge of the welding characteristics of metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
  • Ensure welding operations meet set specifications and construction requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with established health/safety policies and regulations.
  • Carry out preventative maintenance and repair.
  • You will be required to undertake a weld test.
