A well-established engineering and manufacturing company supplying specialist components to a global high-tech industry is looking for a Laser Operator to join their team.
The Role:
Operating and maintaining laser cutting machinery, you will ensure precise production of high-quality components while meeting safety and efficiency standards.
What You'll Do:
? Set up, operate, and maintain Trumpf laser cutting machines
? Translate instructions into computer commands (TruTops & DFX files)
? Conduct quality control checks to meet production specifications
? Perform routine machine maintenance and report any malfunctions
? Collaborate with engineers to optimize material selection and design
? Maintain high standards of housekeeping and workplace safety
? Support continuous improvement initiatives
What You'll Need:
?? Experience in a manufacturing environment (essential)
?? Previous CNC machinery experience required
?? Ability to read engineering drawings and use metrology equipment
?? Knowledge of laser cutting/scribing (advantageous)
?? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
