Interim Finance Manager job for 3 to 6 months in Somerset
This interim accountant role is working for a fast- paced company based in Glastonbury, starting in January whilst they recruit on a permanent basis.
Leading a small team of 3 people you will be working very closely with the Managing Director to ensure he understands the numbers, in a period of change within their sector.
A collaborative working style is key for this interim role and experience of Sage L50 is desirable but not essential.
Duties will include:
- Oversee end-to-end finance operations
- Monthly management accounts
- Presentation of monthly accounts to the board
- Financial planning and analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Weekly cashflow
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Liaising with auditor, HMRC and banks
- looking to make improvements to procedures and controls,
- Ad-hoc projects and requests as and when they come up.
The expectation is that at the start the role is fully office based for the first couple of weeks to do the handover, but as you are getting more familiar with the role flexible working will be an option.
The salary will be up to £55k FTE annually and you will be employed by the business on a fixed term contract. This is likely to be a part time role of 4 days a week and there is the possibility of a permanent role for the right candidate.
