We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Manager in our store.
Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team. Ideally, you will have previous experience in ambient, food retail, or chilled food sectors. This role does not involve managing direct reports but requires a proactive and flexible approach to support the store's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in achieving the highest sales possible while ensuring an efficient and cooperative working environment.
- Maintain excellent customer service, consistent store standards and tightly control costs.
- Support the management of chilled and fresh ranges, maximising availability and minimising wastage.
- Assist in looking after the property, sales figures and overall store performance.
- Regularly report to the Store Manager on sales, stock and finances.
Working Hours:
- Five-day, 40-hour week, including some weekend and evening work.
- Store hours: Monday to Friday 7 am to 7.30 pm, Sundays 10 am to 6 pm.
- The 40-hour week will be spread over 5 days within these hours.
Ideal Candidate:
- Keen, bubbly and confident with an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Flexible and adaptable, willing to cover holidays and sickness if needed.
- Excellent communicator with a positive attitude.
- Resilient and able to motivate the team by leading with energy and great leadership.
