Location: Ideally based in the North West of the UK

Salary: £30k + commission + discretionary business bonus

As Regional Development Consultant, you will represent the company’s products and services, using comprehensive knowledge as well as consumer research to explain how their solutions meet customer needs. You will generate leads and build relationships by nurturing warm prospects and finding potential new sales opportunities. Manage and maintain a pipeline of interested prospects and engage in next steps with Regional Development Managers to ensure the close of a sale.

The role:

  • Lead Generation: Utilise CRM systems, cold calls, and email campaigns to generate new sales opportunities.
  • Needs Assessment: Identify the needs of prospects, and suggest suitable products or services tailored to their requirements.
  • Client Engagement: Set up meetings between prospective customers and Regional Development Managers, ensuring smooth handoffs for further sales processes.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with our products and services to confidently discuss them with schools and other educational institutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Conduct Teams meetings with non-decision makers to generate enthusiasm and prepare for decision-maker engagement.
  • Networking & Events: Attend meetings, conferences, and events to create awareness and foster engagement with potential school clients, supporting sales closure.
  • Relationship Building: Build and nurture long-term, trusting relationships with prospects, including networking on social media platforms such as X and LinkedIn.
  • Reporting: Regularly report on sales activities and results, including weekly, monthly, and quarterly performance updates.

Job requirements/knowledge and experience:

  • Proven experience in a sales, business development.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience using CRM tools and managing email campaigns.
  • Confident presenting and facilitating meetings, both in-person and virtually.
  • Self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Confident in using social media platforms
  • Familiarity with the education sector is a plus.
  • Ability to travel for meetings and events when necessary.
