As a Graduate Electrical Design Engineer you will assist, and develop the skills required, in the production of electrical system designs for a variety of projects including, precision positioning controls for optical systems, vacuum control systems, machinery controls, safety circuits and LV systems as well as develop knowledge and skills required to use electrical CAD software and AutoCAD to produce schematics, hook-ups and other electrical design documentation, in support of the project requirements.
As a Electrical Design Engineer you will work closely with internal & external scientific and engineering staff to produce electrical systems designs for a variety of projects including, Motor control systems, vacuum control systems, Electrical rack and panel design, Low Voltage distribution systems & Rely and Interlock logic and use electrical CAD software and CAD to produce schematics, hook-ups and other electrical design documentation.
- Design of control panel and associated systems for a variety of projects and industries.
- Create electrical schematics for control systems that will be fabricated on-site and create further designs for the installation of these systems.
- Communicate with key stakeholders, both internally and externally, throughout project lifecycles.
- Provide support for Engineers involved in site installation to ensure project delivery.
- Carry out feasibility studies for new technical innovations.
- Use appropriate systems and programmes, including E-Plan, AutoCAD, Sharepoint & other MS Packages as needed.
What Do You Need?
- Degree/HND/HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
- Competent in E Plan and AutoCAD packages
- Good knowledge of H&S procedures and systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven track record as an Electrical Engineer in either a design office or construction market
Applicants will be considered at Graduate Engineer or Design Engineer level, depending on the strength of your skills, experience and qualifications.
