The RoleAs a Streetworks Coordinator, you will be responsible for administering street works notices and permits, ensuring compliance, and coordinating effectively with local authorities and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination: Manage road occupation requests, ensuring they are responded to within statutory timescales.
  • Permit Management: Handle the raising and closing of permits, including traffic management plans, footway and road closures, and notices.
  • Local Knowledge: Apply your understanding of the area to ensure accurate and effective permit applications.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to street works regulations and report significant or recurring issues.
  • Liaison: Act as the first point of contact for operations colleagues and local authorities to address and resolve issues.
  • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with statutory undertakers while embodying Glenelly’s values.

What We’re Looking For

  • Knowledge & Experience:
  • Familiarity with permit schemes for road works.
  • Understanding of the New Roads and Street Works Act (NRSAW) 1991 and related codes of practice.
  • Experience working with street works systems such as Aurora.
  • Proven ability to meet targets and deadlines under pressure.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel and Word).
  • Strong attention to detail and technical aptitude in documentation.
  • Soft Skills:
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • A customer-focused approach with a passion for engaging with diverse stakeholders.
  • Preferred Experience: A minimum of 2 years’ experience in street works coordination.
