Job Summary

The ideal candidate will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing the fleet of HGVs, ensuring they meet safety standards, legal requirements, and operational efficiency.

We are seeking a reliable HGV Fitter, who has the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, to join a team of experienced Commercial Technicians.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Servicing, repairs, diagnostics, and maintenance on a variety of vehicles, including light commercials, rigids, tractor units, and trailers.
  • MOT preparation and presentation.
  • Maintaining a tidy and organised workshop.
  • Ensuring our fleet is kept in top condition with 100% commitment to all maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications and Skills

  • A skilled HGV Mechanic with experience in maintaining and repairing a fleet of trucks, trailers, and vans. You will ensure high standards of work while managing a weekly schedule for inspections and MOTs.
  • A Level 3 qualified HGV Mechanic (or equivalent experience and expertise). You should be confident in planning and organising your daily tasks.
  • A HGV licence is preferred, though not essential.
  • Full-time with the possibility of weekend shifts (working hours are negotiable).
