This is an incredibly rewarding and essential role, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities, autism or more complex physical needs to access high quality and important respite support, giving them an opportunity to engage with others, support their wellbeing as well as offer a short respite break to their families and carers.

You might be someone with experience of working in a health and / or social care environment or someone with caring skills who would like to develop a career in this area. Importantly, you'll be someone with the values needed to offer consistent and reliable support to children and young people and you'll feel comfortable supporting them to live their lives to the full. This will sometimes include personal care, supporting in the evening to get the rest they need and to be ready in the morning for the day ahead.
