Responsibilities:Join our clients dynamic manufacturing team as a Trainee Wood Machinist! We're searching for motivated individuals ready to kickstart their careers in bespoke architectural joinery. You'll be involved in producing high-quality products for prestigious projects across the UK. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating various wood machinery: Spindle Moulder, Surface Planer, Thicknesser, Table Saw, Re-saw, X-cutter, Square Dresser.
  • Working from cutting lists unsupervised to meet deadlines.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area.
  • Demonstrating strong attention to detail and excellent hand skills.
  • Adhering to health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • Experience in a similar role or a factory production environment with machinery.
  • A strong awareness of health and safety regulations.
  • The capability to follow instructions and set up machinery competently.
  • A good understanding of tooling and wood types.

Desirable Skills:While not essential, the following skills will enhance your application:

  • Basic machine maintenance experience.
  • Familiarity with different types of timber.
  • A valid driving licence and Combilift forklift licence.
