We’re hiring for a skilled CNC Miller to join an engineering firm based in Glossop to set and operate a range of CNC machines. We are recruiting for both millers and those with experience of operating twin spindle machines.

- £14.50 to £19.50 per hour
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Two shift patterns available

What will you be doing as a CNC Miller?
- Setting and operating a range of CNC machines, including multi-axis and sliding head (possibly programming experience dependant)
- Producing components to required tolerances and quality standards, right first time
- Finishing components to the highest quality standards
- Identifying and recommending programme amendments to improve efficiency and/or quality
- Carrying out quality checks to ensure components meet the required quality standards
What do you need?
- Experience as a CNC Miller, setter and operator, preferably with experience of operating 3-axis and/or sliding head machines
- Qualified through apprenticeship or HND
- Experience of programming FANUC controls will be beneficial
- The ability to manufacture precision components from fully understanding engineering drawings in terms of tolerances, surface finish etc.
- Experience of CMM desirable
- Focused on quality with high level of attention to detail
