We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Cook in Charge to join a dedicated team delivering catering services in a busy educational setting. If you enjoy working in a kitchen, supervising others, and providing wholesome meals, this could be the perfect opportunity.
? About the Role:You will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the kitchen, including:

Preparing, cooking, and serving meals according to set menus and portion guidelines

Ordering supplies and managing stock levels
-
Ensuring food hygiene and health & safety standards are met

Supervising kitchen staff and providing on-the-job training
-
Preparing packed lunches for off-site activities
-
Maintaining records and completing admin tasks using basic ICT systems
Essential Experience & Skills:
-
Previous catering experience, ideally in a similar setting
-
Experience supervising or managing staff
-
Strong knowledge of food hygiene and health & safety legislation
-
Ability to work flexibly and reliably as part of a team

Basic administrative and ICT skills
Qualifications:

Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
-
NQF Level 2 (e.g. GCSEs 4-9, NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds 7061/7062)
-
OR equivalent level of knowledge gained through work experience
