Reeson Education is recruiting a resilient, caring, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic SEMH school in the SK13 area of Stockport. This Teaching Assistant role is to start as soon as possible and is a full-time, long-term opportunity with the potential to become permanent.

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll be working with primary-aged pupils with a variety of additional needs including SEMH, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. You'll be part of a nurturing team that supports every child with empathy, consistency, and structure.

This Teaching Assistant role involves a blend of 1:1 support, group work, and in-class assistance. You'll be based in a setting that's passionate about giving pupils the tools they need to succeed-emotionally, socially, and academically.

Key Responsibilities for the Teaching Assistant:* Work as a Teaching Assistant across a range of classroom and support situations.* Provide 1:1 and small group interventions for pupils with SEMH and behavioural needs.* Use strategies to de-escalate and support emotional regulation.* Build strong, trusting relationships with students.* Collaborate with teachers and therapists to implement personalised plans.* Promote resilience, engagement, and a love of learning.

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will:* Be a confident, calm, and reliable Teaching Assistant with experience in challenging settings.* Have knowledge or experience of SEMH, ADHD, and behavioural needs.* Be passionate about inclusion and helping all children succeed.* Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.* Be committed to making a positive difference as a Teaching Assistant.

Teaching Assistant Requirements:* Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply).* Right to work in the UK.* Recent, relevant references covering the last 2-3 years.* Experience working with children or young people, ideally in an SEMH setting.
