We’re looking for a Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer to join one of the UK’s leading manufacturers at their site based in Stockport.
This role involves supporting the site with routine maintenance and preventative repairs to ensure the manufacturing teams meet their key performance indicators.

- £938 per week
- Rotating shifts (4 on 4 off)
- Days and nights
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays (rising each year with length of service)

What will you be doing as a Maintenance Engineer?
- Assessing and repairing mechanical or electrical failures
- Documenting engineering processes, parts used and discarded, repairs done, and the causes of each failure accurately and timely
- Logging all repair time
- Keeping engineering tools such as manuals, safety protocols, parts, and work tools up to date
- Communicating with manufacturing about work time, fault repairs, and downtime, working to minimise wait time and maximise solution efficiency
- Providing excellent customer service to the manufacturing teams through the management of the engineering team
- Adhering closely to repair schedules
- Performing routine maintenance and preventative repairs on existing systems
- Ensuring all work is done to proper risk management procedure standards
- Supporting projects in line with the business needs
- Conducting testing on existing systems and new parts and materials
What do you need?
- A relevant engineering qualification or previous time served
- Preferably dual skilled (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role (essential)
- Previous experience of working to deadlines or in a fast-paced environment
- Experience using SAP (desirable)
- Competent IT skills
