Description

  • Designing, implementing, maintaining, and improving mechanical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems.
  • Directing and coordinating manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements.
  • Developing manufacturing processes by studying product requirements and researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment.
  • Conferring with equipment vendors to ensure satisfactory system performance.
  • Preparing product reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends.
  • Keeping equipment operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services, following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
  • Ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Complying with codes and regulations in all work.

Profile

A successful 'Mechanical Engineer' should have:

  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven expertise in mechanical systems design and analysis.
  • Proficiency in CAD software for designing and simulating mechanical systems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a creative approach for new ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills to present designs and solutions to colleagues and clients.
