As a Residential Children's Support Worker, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring each young person's safety and effectively addressing their care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs.
- Exercising appropriate control over children and young people at all times.
- Collaborating with parents, families, carers, and other professionals to advocate for and promote the welfare of children and young people.
- Working various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and sleep-ins, on weekdays, weekends, and Bank Holidays, within the Homes and on residential trips.
- Promoting an organisational culture that values every team member's contribution and is intolerant of discrimination in any form.
- Maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality.
We seek individuals with:
- A passion for improving the lives of young people and providing them with the best possible care and opportunities.
- Previous experience working in children's residential care settings (or similar) is desired.
- The ability to commit to full-time (40 hours/week) working, including sleep-ins and, potentially, short residential trips away with young people.
- A valid driver's licence for manual vehicles.
- Essential attitudes and instincts, such as ambition, enthusiasm, resilience, and empathy.
For Senior Support Workers:
- Level 3/4 in residential Childcare (or equivalents) is required.
