Pro-Resourcing Ltd is currently recruiting on behalf of our client. 

Our client, a well-established precision engineering business, is seeking a Stores Person to join their team

The position is full time, permanent. 

Duties Include:

  • Accurately pick parts and components for the assembly of high-pressure valves, based on work orders and the Bill of Materials (BOM).
  • Use an inventory management system to locate and track components.
  • Perform regular stock checks to maintain accurate inventory levels and identify discrepancies.
  • Maintain organized and efficient storage areas for components, ensuring easy access and minimization of damage.
  • Implement and follow proper labelling and storage procedures to streamline parts picking and inventory control.
  • Perform visual inspections of picked parts to ensure quality standards are met and that components are free from damage or defects.
  • Communicate any discrepancies or quality issues with the relevant departments.
  •  Accurately document picked items and update inventory records in the company’s ERP or inventory management system.
  • Ensure that all documentation is complete and in line with company standards, including pick lists, stock counts, and material handling logs.
  • Work closely with the production and engineering teams to understand component needs and production timelines.
  • Ensure all required parts are delivered to the production floor in a timely manner, helping to avoid delays in the manufacturing process.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Handle all materials, especially sensitive or hazardous components in compliance with company and industry safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment in the stores area.
  • Identify and suggest improvements to the stores and picking processes to
    enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing practices and 5S.
     

Salary: £12.60 per hour

Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am - 4pm and Friday 7am - 1pm.

Can offer some flexibility with the start and finish times if required.
