We’re partnering with an exciting, fast-growing business based in Gloucester to find a Financial Controller to manage a team of 4, and support the continued growth of the business. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the CFO in a dynamic environment that is growing through acquisition. Your Role:

As Financial Controller, you will play a key role in managing the finance function, supporting the CFO and senior management team with strategic decision-making, and helping drive the business forward through both organic growth and acquisitions. You will be responsible for overseeing a team of 4 (mainly transactional) finance professionals, ensuring that processes are efficient, financial reporting is accurate, and the company remains on track with its goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the finance team, providing coaching, development, and support.
  • Prepare and present monthly management accounts to senior leadership.
  • Manage the year-end process and audit coordination.
  • Conduct process and control reviews, driving continuous improvements.
  • Perform detailed variance analysis and provide insightful commentary.
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and P&L management.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with VAT/tax requirements and oversee tax management.

Your Profile:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified
  • Strong experience in managing finance teams and reporting at a senior level.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, both internally and externally.
  • You’ll be highly analytical with a keen eye for detail and a drive for continuous process improvement.
