Juice Recruitment is excited to be partnering with a leading healthcare provider offering supported living and domiciliary care services across Gloucestershire

Due to continued growth and success, they are now seeking a Financial Controller to play a key role in their management team. Reporting directly to the board, this is the most senior finance role within the business, responsible for all aspects of financial management, reporting, and compliance.

DAY TO DAY:As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the finance function, ensuring robust financial management, reporting accuracy, and compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing all financial operations, including invoicing, accounts receivable/payable, and the general ledger.
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring financial stability and cost control.
  • Producing monthly and annual financial statements and variance analysis.
  • Overseeing payroll processing, including PAYE, NIC, pensions, and salary adjustments.
  • Managing cash flow, working capital, and tax filings, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
  • Implementing and maintaining strong internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Leading and motivating a small finance team, fostering a collaborative working environment.
  • Working closely with auditors, external tax advisors, and key internal stakeholders.

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:The ideal candidate will be an experienced Financial Controller or Senior Finance Professional with:

  • A fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or qualified by experience.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar finance leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
  • A commercial mindset with a proactive approach to financial planning and business improvement
  • Excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a finance team.
  • Experience within healthcare, social care, or service-based industries is desirable but not essential
