Management Accountant
Location: Gloucester
Salary: up to £45K dependent on experience
T2M Resourcing are recruiting a Management Accountant on behalf of a successful and rapidly growing business services company. This role is initially offered as a 12-month FTC to cover maternity leave.
As Management Accountant, you’ll work closely with the Customer Service and Operations teams, focusing on investigating revenue discrepancies, analysing monthly variances, and providing insightful financial reports to senior finance leaders. You’ll play a key role in ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial reporting, contributing directly to business financial health.
Key Responsibilities as Management Accountant will include:
- Take ownership of allocated entity and subsequent reporting within the deadlines set, ensuring that information provided is accurate and any variances justified.
- Update balance sheets and own monthly management accounts.
- Review P&L, explain variances, and coordinate with finance teams.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting and reconciliations.
- Prepare year-end audit packs and support statutory reporting.
- Aid in budgeting, process improvements, and ad hoc tasks.
Revenue Accounting & Analysis:
- Validate CRM revenue data, ensuring accuracy across entities.
- Analyse monthly revenue, accruals, deferrals, and variances.
- Provide Excel support for forecasting and detailed revenue reports.
- Complete accrued income reports and credit note analysis.
- Support Group reporting with balance sheet and trend insights.
- Calculate and verify supplier rebates with Operations.
To be successful in this Management Accountant role, we are seeking the following:
- Ideally a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA) however QBE and part qualified will also be considered
- At least 2 years management accounts experience gained in industry
- Previous management accounts preparation involvement, alongside demonstrable experience of transforming large volume data sets into workable and meaningful information.
- Capability to thrive in a matrix organisation and finance structure and work to tight reporting deadlines.
- Excel skill at an advanced level
- Strong organisational, analytical skills and attention to detail
- Able to demonstrate flexibility by adapting work in line with changing priorities
- Knowledge of Sage 200 and Xero is an advantage.
