We are exclusively working with an established business in North Bristol who are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join a dynamic accounts team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is part-qualified in AAT or CIMA or someone who is eager to train and grow within the accounting field. This is a full-time and permanent position to be fully office based with plenty of free parking available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Ledger Management: Oversee and maintain accurate sales records.
- Purchase Ledger Management: Process and manage purchase invoices and payments.
- Financial Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements to ensure account accuracy.
- Cash and Payment Processing: Post payments including cash, cheques, and credit card transactions.
- Petty Cash Control: Monitor and control petty cash expenses.
- Payment Setup: Set up payments on the banking system using the company's tools and protocols.
- Accounting Systems: Utilise the computerised Power system for accounting processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Strong computer and keyboard skills.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint and prior experience with accounting software is desirable.
- Excellent numeracy skills and a keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal teams and stakeholders effectively.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining accuracy.
In return the successful candidate can expect a salary of £28,000 + benefits including study support
