Robert Half are currently working with a business based in Gloucester who are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join initially on an interim basis for a period of 3-4 months.

Role: Assistant Accountant/Senior Accounts Assistant

Salary: Up to £31,000 (Hourly/daily rate equivalent)

Duration: Circa 3 - 4 months

Start date: ASAP

Working pattern: Full time - 4 days in the office per week, one day working from home + Flexible working hours

Responsibilities include:

  • Assist with Balance Sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with Fixed Asset Register
  • Assist with accruals and prepayments
  • Monthly inter-company reconciliation
  • Journal posting
  • Maintain the Accounts Payable ledger
  • Maintain the Accounts Receivable ledger
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Expenses

Person Specification

  • Computer literate
  • Self-motivated and ability to manage workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in managing both sides of the ledger as a minimum
  • Previous experience in assisting with management accounts/month end process - Desirable
