An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to join a progressive and patient-centered healthcare team based in Gloucester. The practice is looking for a highly skilled and dedicated individual to deliver high-quality care across a broad range of clinical settings. The successful candidate will provide advanced clinical care, leadership, and support to both patients and the multidisciplinary team, ensuring the delivery of exceptional healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive and advanced nursing care to patients across a wide range of health issues, including acute and chronic conditions.
• Conduct thorough assessments, make accurate diagnoses, and develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with professional guidelines.
• Offer health promotion and disease prevention advice to patients, empowering them to take control of their health.
• Lead and mentor junior nursing staff, offering guidance and support to develop their skills.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring continuity of care and the seamless integration of services.
• Take responsibility for managing a caseload of patients, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and service delivery.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
• Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC registration.
• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Master's level or equivalent) and relevant clinical experience.
• Prescribing qualification (V300 or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge and experience in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of both acute and chronic conditions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a patient-centered approach.
• Proven ability to work independently, with excellent decision-making and clinical judgment.
• Experience of working in a primary care or general practice setting is highly desirable.
• Strong commitment to continuous professional development.
Desirable Skills:
• Experience with leadership or mentoring roles within a clinical setting.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience with specific clinical areas such as diabetes management, women’s health, or respiratory conditions.
