Hours: Permanent, Full Time Monday - Friday 7am -4pm (Hydrid options available )

Hawk3 Solutions is seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our client's team in Gloucester. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations, implementing quality control procedures, participating in risk assessments, and maintaining documentation for engineering activities. Support for sustainability initiatives will also be part of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, develop, and implement new or existing products from concept to production.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including regulatory, clinical, marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance.

- Conduct feasibility studies, prototype development, and testing to validate product concepts.

- Utilize best-practice engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, specifically ISO 13485.

- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.

- Stay updated with industry trends to drive innovation.

- Prepare and present engineering reports and documentation to stakeholders.

Knowledge and Skills:

- HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3 years of experience in product development within the medical device industry.

- Proven track record of leading medical device development projects from concept to launch.

- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, materials, and manufacturing processes.

- Understanding of Six Sigma principles for continuous improvement.

- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and relevant engineering tools.

- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance requirements (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485).
