DMW Recruitment are looking for a Field Engineer dynamic mechanical client on a permanent basis. If you're passionate about engineering and eager to work in a stimulating environment, this is the role for you.

Salary: Up to £42,000 p.a. (DOE)
Hours: 37 hrs/week (Mon-Fri, 08:00-16:30 Mon-Thurs, 08:00-13:00 Fri) or or (Mon-Thurs 07:15-16:15, Fri 07:15-12:15)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Field Service Activities:

    • Perform on-site valve repairs, potentially requiring travel across the UK and worldwide offshore locations.
    • Respond to customer on-call requirements.
    • Disassemble, assemble, and test various valves, actuators, and instrumentation following QA/QC and Health and Safety procedures.
    • Occasionally act as site supervisor during shutdowns, overseeing planning, workforce supervision, and customer updates.
  • Workshop Support:

    • Collaborate with senior fitters and provide assistance as needed.
    • Deliver training under the guidance of the workshop charge hand and workshop manager.
  • Health, Safety & Environment:

    • Show commitment to Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems.
  • Quality Management System:

    • Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System and relevant procedures.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Job Knowledge:

    • Expertise in various valves (Control, Choke, Butterfly, Isolation, PSV), actuators, and instrumentation.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work on-site to find solutions for technical issues.
    • Competence validated through our rigorous company competence scheme.
  • Education and Experience:

    • Higher National Certificates/Diplomas or equivalent from college.
    • Engineering Apprenticeship.
