My client is a prestigious market leader and the largest supplier in Europe of bespoke food cutting machinery. Due to ongoing growth, they are looking to appoint an ambitious Field Service Engineer to join their vibrant and dynamic team. This person will not only competently service machines, but will also develop long-term commercial relationships with clients.

This role will cover Southern England and Ireland on a remote basis with one day per week based in their Birmingham office.

Your duties & responsibilities will include the following:

  • Provide technical customer support internally and externally.
  • Provide continuous input into New Product Development process.
  • Work within your territory as part of a wider team.
  • Deal with all customer and non-customer accounts.
  • Help develop and execute territory plans for development of the business.
  • Capable of preparing trials on equipment and associated traded partner machinery.
  • Develop training and service programs.
  • Responsible for “total care package” conducting maintenance, breakdown calls and training.
  • Produce end of month reports.
  • Work with the business to implement an efficient business strategy.

What we’re looking for:

  • Ideally a mechanical engineering background
  • Experience within service would be highly advantageous.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Good relationship building skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload with effective time management.
  • An ambitious candidate, who wants to learn and develop whilst achieving fantastic results.
