QA - 6 month FTC

On behalf of a key client in the midlands we are resourcing for an experienced QA for a 6 month FTC.

The role is once a week in office, please see the details below







Responsibilities

  • Defining and delivering testing strategy from test plans through to execution
  • Establishing processes for product development (software and platforms) and ensuring the quality processes are respected from requirements gathering to release
  • Defining and tracking Quality KPI's such as efficiency, test coverage, etc. and working with the team to extend automated testing including unit tests and Cypress-based front-end tests
  • Ensuring testing is completed, reviewing results and communicating these results in a timely manner to the team
  • Highlighting continuous improvements initiatives which will make the quality of the development process more effective and efficient
  • Carrying out root cause analysis for significant problems to prevent recurrence and contributing to lessons learnt
  • Promoting teamwork and encouraging professional development within the team

Skills and qualifications

  • Considerable experience providing QA for customer-facing business solutions
  • Strong knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, testing techniques, and best practices
  • Proficiency in test planning, test design, and test execution
  • Experience with defect tracking systems and tools, as well as ideally Jira
  • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools, especially Cypress and/or Selenium
  • Solid understanding of Agile
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
