Rate: 300-350 per day (Inside IR35)
About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced General Foreperson to join a major highways and structures project in Gloucester. This freelance position offers the opportunity to play a key role in delivering a high-profile infrastructure scheme, ensuring that works are carried out safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily site operations, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Supervise subcontractors and direct workforce to maintain productivity and quality.
- Ensure construction activities align with project specifications and programme schedules.
- Collaborate with site engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to resolve issues and maintain progress.
- Conduct site inspections and progress reporting to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a General Foreperson on highways and structures projects.
- Strong knowledge of structures and highways construction methods.
- Valid CSCS card and SMSTS/SSSTS certification.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate teams effectively.
- Good understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures.
