Sales Administrator

Location: Quedgeley, Gloucestershire

Role Overview


Our client are looking for a proactive Sales Administrator to ensure sales data accuracy, support smooth processes, and provide detailed reporting. This role will be the first point of contact for customers, delivering excellent service while identifying opportunities to maximise sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the commercial team, ensuring processes run efficiently.
  • Process and manage orders using Excel and Sage Line 50, making necessary adjustments.
  • Maintain up-to-date product and pricing information across internal systems.
  • Handle incoming orders via phone, email, and web, responding promptly and professionally.
  • Accurately input order details, ensuring correct quantities, pricing, and discounts.
  • Track outstanding payments, manage daily debt, and take payments over the phone.
  • Keep customer databases updated with contact details, preferences, and order history.
  • Prepare and maintain sales data sheets and reports for internal use.
  • Support marketing and technical teams by maintaining relevant databases.
  • Perform proactive credit control, resolving invoice or payment issues with customers.


Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong numeracy and literacy skills with financial awareness.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Ability to identify process improvements and implement solutions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with customers and colleagues.
  • Customer-focused approach with a drive to achieve sales targets.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Previous experience in customer service or sales support roles.
  • Familiarity with Sage software and order processing is essential.
