Robert Half are pleased to be partnering with a well-established business who are seeking an experienced Purchase Ledger Assistant to join the team in Gloucestershire. This is a full-time, on-site role, reporting to the Financial Controller. The successful candidate will take full ownership of the purchase ledger function, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and strong supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the full purchase ledger process from purchase order to supplier payment
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
- Oversee and develop the company's purchase order and invoice approval system
- Educate staff across the business on purchase order processes to ensure tight financial controls
- Understand the impact of the purchase ledger on the general ledger to improve accuracy and efficiency
- Reconcile supplier statements monthly and manage invoice authorisation across the company
- Work closely with the Financial Controller and accounts team to process payments
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of purchase ledger experience
- Strong reconciliation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to take full ownership of the purchase ledger
- Proactive, organised, and able to improve financial processes
- Local to Tetbury with own transport
What's on Offer:
- Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
- 22 days holiday + bank holidays (increasing annually)
