JOB –Quality Engineer / Metrology Specialist LOCATION – GloucestershireTERM- PermanentSALARY – up to £35,000 - £50,000 per annum (dependant on experience).We are looking for a Quality Engineer, CMM Programmer or Metrology Specialist on a permanent basis in the West Drayton area with experience of machined parts. Your main duties will be assisting with the day-to-day activities of the Quality engineering and Manufacturing  team.The Quality Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • 2 years’ experience or more in a similar Quality Engineering, CMM or Metrology focused position.
  • Knowledge of various Quality Inspection / metrology tools and techniques
  • Understanding of ISO9001 or similar QMS standards.
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Familiarity with the auditing process.
  • Have previous experience working in a similar machined parts manufacturer.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience in customer / client focused communication – advantageous.
The Quality Engineer role will involve:
  • Assisting the Management within the business on Metrology questions and responsibilities.
  • Advise on best methods of Quality Inspection / Engineering.
  • Carry out inspection of various components.
