We are working with an established wealth management firm based in Gloucester, who is seeking a Head of Paraplanning join their growing team. You will be managing a small team of Paraplanners with the aim of growing this team over the coming months. The right individual will possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a thorough understanding of Paraplanning. You will need to be diploma qualified as a minimum, but ideally Chartered or working towards this.Responsibilities and Experience:

  • A qualified and experienced paraplanner, preferably with experience working in an independent firm.
  • Must be level 4 qualified as a minimum, but ideally close to or at Chartered status with a mindset of continuous development.
  • Responsible for training and mentorship of members of the Paraplanning team.
  • Previous management experience preferable but not essential, if you have the Paraplanning experience and feel you have the right skills to manage a team get in touch.
  • Have the ability to manage and allocate workflow, working with Head of Administration and Advisers to coordinate caseflow.
  • Strong IT skills with the knowledge and ability to use third party tools as part of conducting research.
  • The individual will assist with case and compliance checks and assist with the implementation of legislative and regulatory changes within the firm.
  • Must have an 'egoless’ approach to work with advisers in the best interests of the client. Somebody with a client first view of advice.
  • Driver of change to research and advice processes and implementation of new processes.
  • Solution focussed
  • Conducting appraisals and HR requirements for Paraplanning team members
  • Recruitment of new members to the Paraplanning team
  • Must be office based for Training and Membership of the team. Hybrid working to be discussed but minimum of 3 days a week in the office required.
