Platinum Recruitment is working in partnership with a 4 star hotel just outside of the city of Gloucester in Gloucestershire, and we have a fantastic opportunity for a Sous Chef who can commute daily, to join their team.

Our client is a 4-star hotel, situated just outside the historic city of Gloucester. Easily accessible by both public transport and by car, the hotel attracts both business and leisure guests alike.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served here. You can expect to cater for an average of 60-120 covers between the main restaurant which serves classic British cuisine using fresh, seasonal ingredients and the bar area which offers a selection of lighter meals and snacks.

C&B facilities here cater for up to 200 covers be it for a wedding, function or conference.

Please note: accommodation is not available with this role, so candidates should only apply for the role if they are able to commute to the Gloucester area on a daily basis.

What's involved?

As the Sous Chef, will work closely with the Head Chef and manage the kitchen team in their absence. Together, you will maintain kitchen organisation, and staff training opportunities as well as assist with menu creation.

You will be passionate and hands-on; preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality dishes in a timely manner using fresh, seasonal ingredients for the restaurant, bar and C&B, whilst also overseeing all food preparation and presentation to ensure quality and company standards are met.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate good leadership skills. You will also have previous hotel experience and a fresh food background.
