We are seeking a dedicated Children and Families Team Manager to lead our teams in Cotswolds & Stroud. This role is crucial in supporting families and communities to ensure every child has the best chance of a happy and rewarding life, particularly those who need more help.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Lead and manage a team of social workers and other professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and the safety and well-being of staff.
  • Develop and implement a team plan that aligns with the strategic objectives of Children’s Services.
  • Provide management oversight on all cases, ensuring a clear understanding of risk and quality assurance through various methods including case file audits and reflective supervision.
  • Engage in continuous professional development, keeping up to date with government guidance, legislation, and evidence-based practice.
  • Build and maintain quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Registered with Social Work England.
  • A recognised qualification in Social Work.
  • Completion of ASYE year (if qualified after 2012).
  • Extensive experience in a statutory social care setting with children and families.
  • Proven track record of managing a team and demonstrating inspirational leadership.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in chairing meetings.
  • Knowledge of Child Protection Procedures and relevant legislation.
  • Ability to manage data and proficient in Microsoft Office.
