I am actively seeking a bright graduate who has a keen interest in structural design to join a successful, well-established, civil and structural design consultancy in Gloucester. Working on a variety of projects, many of which focus on steel design, you will get the chance to work on projects from conception through to completion stage. Current workload spans across utilities, telecoms, rail, building and highways sectors.

Our client is offering an excellent training programme which will allow the graduate to work on design, get involved in project management, work with the drafting team and generally get a feel for all aspects of the design environment. You will be offered a highly competitive salary, including pension contribution and bonus schemes, plus 25 days leave excluding bank holidays! Our client offers a supportive and creative environment with friendly, engaging staff.

In order to be considered for this Graduate Structural Engineer role you will:

  • Have gained a strong degree in civil or structural engineering (a 2,1 or first class MEng being preferable)
  • Previous experience such as modules at University focusing on steel design would be beneficial
  • A working knowledge of CAD would be advantageous although not essential.
  • You will display a hard working, proactive approach to work
  • You will have strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • If you are close to Gloucester this would be a benefit but we can also consider candidates relocating.
