Section Engineer - Structures & RC

Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Section Engineer to join a project in Gloucestershire, focusing on the structures package. This is a contract role offering a competitive rate and the opportunity to work on a critical project within a leading construction company.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage a specific section of the project within the structures team, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of site staff, including technicians, surveyors, and operatives.
  • Implement and maintain safety procedures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Manage and resolve technical issues that arise within your section, ensuring timely and efficient solutions.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including site surveys, drawings, reports, and safety records.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Section Engineer or in a similar role within the construction industry, with a focus on structures.
  • A strong understanding of construction methods and processes, particularly within the highway sector, with emphasis on structures.

* Experience working on complex projects, ideally involving highway construction or similar infrastructure schemes with structures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with team members and stakeholders.

* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.Desirable Qualifications:* Experience working with leading construction companies in the UK.* Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards for highway construction, particularly related to structures.* Experience with construction software, such as AutoCAD and BIM.
