Our client, a well-established Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy based in Gloucester, is seeking a skilled and driven Structural Engineer to join their growing team. With an extensive and loyal client base, their portfolio encompasses a wide range of complex projects across various sectors, including commercial, industrial, retail, public, and residential, throughout the UK.
Key Requirements for the Structural Engineer Role:
- A relevant degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (e.g., BEng/MEng).
- At least 5 years of experience in Structural Engineering design.
- Experience in designing with steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Proficiency in Tekla design software is preferred.
- Strong technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills, with proven leadership and excellent communication abilities.
Structural Engineering role Overview:
- Develop structural designs for diverse projects, utilizing materials such as steel, concrete, timber, and masonry.
- Work closely with clients to understand their project requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technicians, reviewing their work and offering constructive feedback.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, and quality to ensure goals are met.
- Propose innovative solutions to optimize structural efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
