DevOps Engineer - DV Cleared - Contract

• Gloucester site location - must be willing to be full-time on-site when required
• Active Enhanced DV Clearance (West) to start
• Up to £745p/d inside ir35
• Contact until 31st March 2025 - high chance of extension
• Expertise in Java, Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD, Automation, AWS

We are recruiting a DevOps Engineer with active enhanced DV clearance to work with an industry-leading national security client. Our teams are what leads us forward and we are therefore looking for the best talent to join us as we continue to bring the best to the table. We work alongside our customers using modern DevOps engineering methods and the latest technologies. Due to the client and nature of the project work, prior West customer experience is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor system metrics in Kibana, investigate failed queries, and debug issues across environments.
• Collaborate with users to diagnose and resolve problems.
• Track and manage issues using the team's chosen tracker.
• Execute releases of new functionality.
• Develop and mentor junior team members
• Maintain the CI/CD pipelines and facilitate the successful completion of builds

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Java Spring Boot
• Kubernetes & Docker for application deployment
• Helm
• Elastic & Kibana (for monitoring user metrics)
• Automated test frameworks (Cucumber and Gherkin)
• Gitlab CI/CD experience
• Git
• Basic Linux knowledge
• HS support of an application

Desirable Skills & Experience:

• OpenShift experience
• Wiremock/Mocking frameworks
• AWS development experience
• Helmfile (for orchestrating Helm chart deployment)
