Hayley Group Limited are looking for a Sales Support Specialist to join our well-established and experienced team at our Gloucester branch. You will join us on a full-time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary.
Hayley Group is the largest independent distributor of engineering products and consumables (hydraulics, bearings, fasteners, PPE, tools, lubricants etc) in the UK. Working hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities for our Sales Support Specialist will include:
- Dealing with enquiries and orders daily (Telephone, WhatsApp, Email), working closely with one major customer in particular, ensuring all of their needs are fulfilled.
- Compiling quotations
- Sourcing products
- Ordering products
- Ensuring the parts requested, ordered and due to be supplied are correct and on time
- Managing your order book
- Building relationships with customers and supply chain
- Site visits to customers if needed to further understand any requirements
- Making commercial decisions to maximise profit opportunity for business
- 60% of the role will be internally based at our Gloucester branch, 40% delivering to our customer’s site and meeting key stakeholders including engineers and buyers.
Skills & Attributes we’re looking for in our Sales Support Specialist:
- Good telephone manner and listening skills needed
- Enthusiasm & loyalty, someone who is committed to satisfying the customer’s needs.
- Computer skills, good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite
- Good communicator
- Neat (legible) handwriting
- Punctual, healthy, enthusiastic and willingness to learn
- Able to work in a team and off own initiative
- Full UK driving licence
- Experience in a sales/commercial orientated role
- Engineering experience would be beneficial but not essential (a basic understanding would help)
