GMP Recruitment are proud to partner with a highly successful and highly recognisable bespoke engineering company located in Gloucester. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced and multiskilled CNC Turner Programmer/Setter to join their team on a full time, permanent contract.
Working Monday - Friday withthe successful candidate will be offered a highly competitive basic salary of up to £35,977 per annum, which is demonstrable with previous, relevant experience, plus additional company benefits.
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Turner Programmer/Setter to join our precision engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes using Fanuc controls. You will be producing high-quality, precision components to tight tolerances for a range of industries.CNC Turner Programmer/Setter main duties:
- Programming CNC lathes using Fanuc controls directly at the machine.
- Setting and operating CNC Turning machines to produce precision components.
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Selecting appropriate tools, materials, and machining methods.
- Performing in-process inspection and quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any production or machining issues.
- Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean, safe working environment.
- Working to deadlines and production targets in a fast-paced environment.
CNC Turner Programmer/Setter desired skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a CNC Turner Programmer/Setter.
- Experience with multiple axis turning centres.
- Previous work in a subcontract machining environment.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement / lean manufacturing practices.
- Proficient in programming with Fanuc controls.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and geometric tolerancing.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
