What will the Data Architect be Doing?
A successful candidate will be driven by solving varied, complex customer problems. Some responsibilities include:
- Strategy, architecture and high-level design of data-intensive solutions.
- Develop Defence customer data strategies & define data governance.
- Define architecture for analyses and data software solutions.
- Communicate with non-technical experts and stakeholders.
- Coaching and mentoring junior team members through technical guidance
The Data Architect Should Have…
- Active SC or DV clearance - eligible for higher clearance
- Degree level qualification in a STEM subject, or an education and level of experience which is comparable.
Experience in the following:
- Data Strategy and Architecture in a Public Sector or UK Defence context.
- Structured and unstructured Data and exploitation techniques
- Provide deliverable solutions to complex problems, working collaboratively with Data/Software Engineers
- Agile framework working
- Building Data pipelines in cloud environments - AWS/Azure/GCP
- Contributing to complex technical bids and Business Development
