What will the Data Architect be Doing?

A successful candidate will be driven by solving varied, complex customer problems. Some responsibilities include:

  • Strategy, architecture and high-level design of data-intensive solutions.
  • Develop Defence customer data strategies & define data governance.
  • Define architecture for analyses and data software solutions.
  • Communicate with non-technical experts and stakeholders.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior team members through technical guidance

The Data Architect Should Have…

  • Active SC or DV clearance - eligible for higher clearance
  • Degree level qualification in a STEM subject, or an education and level of experience which is comparable.

Experience in the following:

  • Data Strategy and Architecture in a Public Sector or UK Defence context.
  • Structured and unstructured Data and exploitation techniques
  • Provide deliverable solutions to complex problems, working collaboratively with Data/Software Engineers
  • Agile framework working
  • Building Data pipelines in cloud environments - AWS/Azure/GCP
  • Contributing to complex technical bids and Business Development
