Temporary to Permanent Teaching Assistant position !
Position:
Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant for a local PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) school KS3/KS4 in Gloucester. We're looking for a compassionate and understanding individual with experience in providing support to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a 1-2-1 position and within small groups, including intervention classes.
The ideal candidate for this role will have relevant experience and a strong commitment to supporting SEMH students.
We are looking for:
- Experience working with Secondary aged pupils with a range of complex needs.
- Someone who can communicate effectively & with strong behaviour management skill.
- An enthusiastic individual with high organizational skills and a willingness to learn on the job.
- Someone who is an excellent role model and who actively promotes the skills, attributes, and behaviours important in a classroom.
We have partnered with Cidori at the Gloucestershire College who will provide Full Training for a Level 2 TA qualification starting on 20/01/2025 - if you're interested in gaining a qualification then please also apply.
Our daily rates for Trainee SEMH Teaching Assistants start at £85 a day and are negotiable based on your experience and qualifications.
This role will be on a temporary full-time basis, 5 days a week, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, with a possibility of securing a long-term role for the right candidate. These positions are available from February 2025
Requirements:
- Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure.
- Provide overseas police clearances if applicable.
- Supply professional reference checks.
- Ensure your CV comprehensively covers your employment history, with a focus on your relevant experience.
- Possess the legal right to work in the UK.
