Halcyon are proud to be working exclusively with a family owned, adults learning disability care provider, based in the heart of Gloucester, with the aim to help them find a fantastic Team Leader to join their established team. The organisation pride themselves in the way they approach care with a forward thinking and unique mindset, enabling them to deliver the highest standards of care to adults with varying needs. They believe it's vitally important to offer everyone a fresh start, no matter their previous challenges. They do this by meticulously creating individualised care plans, based on the tailored needs of the individuals the care for and even explore options that may not have been thought of previously.  The organisation has specialised in providing this care in supported living settings, and since starting with one service in 2018, have now organically grown this to over 10 settings across Gloucester, each offering safe and secure homes for the young adults being supported in them.

As a Team Leader, it will be your role to provide a high level of expertise when delivering bespoke support to the adults you support, as well as offering your guidance and knowledge to the support workers you will be managing on a day to day basis. You will be working closely with the management team to help maintain the quality of care being delivered across the different services and will be expected to supervise staff regularly, ensuring the highest standards of care are always adhered to. You will be expected to have at least 2 years experience of working with adults with learning disabilities and have the knowledge and understanding of how to effectively manage challenging behaviours. Having the ability to plan and manage rota schedules, as well as being able to work under pressure and deal with challenging situations calmly and with the experience and leadership expected of someone in a Team Leader role is essential.

In return for your full commitment to this role, you will be offered an annual salary of between £27,300 and £30,000 depending on your experience and will be given a full induction when you start your role, with an introduction to all members of the team and a breakdown of the management support team. If you're a Team Leader currently and you're looking for a place you can progress in the near future, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Or, if you're an experienced support worker looking to take the next step in your career, this could be the perfect role for you. The directors actively encourage internal progression and promotions, enabling you to learn new skills and progress daily with the complete backing and support of the senior management team. They also understand and appreciate the importance of a work life balance, which they ensure is something that is considered through every level of their team, enabling you to flourish in your role, whilst also enjoying your days off.

This is a new role and comes at an exciting time of growth for the company, so if this sounds like the perfect role for you and you would like to find out more, we look forward to having a confidential conversation with you.
