This opportunity is based in Gloucester, a hub of innovative landing gear technology for over 90 years.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Implementing and supporting electromechanical test systems
  • Developing and implementing electrical interfacing, PLC/HMI systems, and related controls
  • Developing electrical interface systems within the test facility
  • Acting as the point of contact for electrical facility support
  • Collaborating with the Test Services Team and reporting to the Test Engineering Group Leader
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers, with opportunities for foreign travel
  • Broadening experience in qualification testing and data acquisition techniques
  • Supervising specific tasks or activities


Job Requirements:

  • Time served Apprenticeship, HNC/HND or BEng degree, plus relevant work experience
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety
  • Proficiency in electrical circuit design and installation
  • Experience in PLC/HMI programming design and implementation
  • Knowledge of motor control, electrical actuation, and power generation equipment
  • Understanding of hydraulic circuit functionality and servo hydraulic systems
  • Familiarity with control system, data acquisition, and instrumentation implementation
  • Proficiency in electrical calibration of transducers
