Day-to-day of the role:

Install, test, and maintain electrical systems in compliance with ATEX standards and UK regulations.
Perform detailed inspections and audits of electrical installations in hazardous areas to ensure adherence to safety standards.
Diagnose and repair faults in electrical systems and equipment.
Provide technical advice and support on ATEX compliance and electrical safety.
Prepare and maintain necessary documentation, including inspection reports and compliance certificates.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend preventive measures.
Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and safety officers to ensure all projects adhere to safety protocols.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Valid ATEX certification, such as Compex Ex07/08 or similar, with a strong understanding of ATEX directives and DSEAR.
Qualified Electrician with an NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations or equivalent.
City & Guilds Inspection & Testing 2391 or equivalent.
Proven experience working in hazardous areas, particularly within the oil and gas or chemical sectors.
Deep knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and safety standards related to explosive atmospheres.
