Join a leading electronics manufacturer specialising in producing cutting-edge technology for the defence industry. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented PCB Assembler to join our team. You will play a critical role in assembling and testing printed circuit boards (PCBs) to ensure our high-performance products meet the stringent requirements of the defence sector.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, solder, and inspect printed circuit boards (PCBs) to precise technical specifications.
  • Work from assembly drawings, schematics, and work instructions to complete PCB builds accurately.
  • Perform through-hole and surface mount soldering (SMT), ensuring all components are placed and secured correctly.
  • Conduct visual inspections and basic testing of PCBs to identify and fix defects, ensuring quality standards are maintained.
  • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to troubleshoot and resolve any assembly issues.
  • Maintain clean and organised workstations, adhering to all company and industry safety protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with IPC standards (IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001), particularly in the context of defence and high-reliability electronics.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in PCB assembly, particularly for electronics used in high-reliability environments such as defence or aerospace.
  • Proficiency in both surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole soldering techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain quality standards under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 standards is highly desirable.
  • Excellent manual dexterity and experience with small components.
  • Familiarity with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) prevention and other industry safety practices.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.
